nala is in private preview and shipping fast. The canonical record of what changed is the release feed, not this page.
Release notes
- In the app: Settings → About shows your version and the release notes for any pending update, with a one-click install after SHA-256 verification.
- On the command line:
nala update --checkreports what is available without installing it. - On the web: GitHub Releases carries every artifact with checksums and notes.
Channels

Switch in Settings → Update Channel. The change picks which updates are offered next; it does not reinstall on the spot.

The doctor reports the exact build, daemon health, provider probes, and signing state: the two facts any bug report should lead with.
A note on the preview
Preview builds are unsigned and update manually. Signing, notarization, and silent update replacement are on the roadmap, and the Installation page will change when they land. For what is coming beyond that, the site FAQ keeps an honest roadmap: a nala-operated server side (cloud sync, team features, an inexpensive custom coding model), always framed as future, with local-first as the permanent foundation.
